Production company Black Camel have optioned the GIFTED series of books by Marilyn Kaye for CBBC.
The nine-book series, which explores the world of schoolchildren with superpowers that echo their emotional adolescent states, was originally set in the US, but is being relocated to Edinburgh for the exciting new BBC show.
Emma Reeves (The Worst Witch CBBC & Netflix /Eve CBBC) is on board as lead writer for CBBC. Sue Nott executive produces with Black Camel’s Arabella Croft, and Natalie Altmann co-produces for Media Valley. Steve Barker, Black Camel’s long-term collaborator will launch the show as director.
